Envoys!

As the chill of Dolaig settles throughout Alca, we bid farewell to a year of growth, learnings, and humble progress. This year brought much: the opportunity to open our Pre-Alpha wider to the world, deliver 7 major Updates to Soulframe Preludes, launch our community forums and Devstreams, and welcome the ever-growing community of Envoys (all of you!).

Through your adventures - facing Fables, standing against Ode’n forces, braving Alca’s untamed lands, and even mastering Regatta alongside Avakot - you’ve shown us the soul of this world. Your continued feedback, reports, and passion have helped shape these early days of Soulframe.

As the team continues work on the next Update, we’ve made the decision to push Preludes 8 until after the holidays (in the meantime, 10,000 Preludes invites have been sent out as we prepare for this release!). Arriving in January, this Update will bring an early version of Warsongs, Orengall’s Fable, and our first social hub - the hidden Silent Rose Enclave.

As we look toward 2025, the echoes of Alca’s past grow louder. We look forward to expanding Soulframe Preludes to the world, welcoming more Envoys into the ‘fold alongside new tales, lands, systems and souls. Watch a glimpse of what lies ahead in our 2025 preview here:

Thank you for being part of these early days. Our studio will soon take a short respite over the holidays (though you’ll still spot some of us around) before returning, refreshed and ready, to continue shaping the world of Alca. We’re excited for all that’s to come in the new year - for now, keep exploring, playing, and venturing forth!
